Oman relaxed entry rules for passengers on Monday, allowing fully vaccinated travelers from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, among several other countries, to enter the country. The decision will take effect from September 1.

All Omani citizens, Omani residents, Omani visa holders, those who do not need a visa to travel to Oman, and those who can obtain a visa upon arrival can enter the Sultanate according to the pre-COVID system.

All passengers arriving at the Sultanate must present a COVID-19 vaccine certificate containing a QR Code indicating that they have received two doses of an Oman-approved vaccine, or in cases where the Sultanate Health Authorities approve a single dose. . , have received a dose of said vaccine. The last dose is required to have been received no less than fourteen (14) days prior to the estimated time of arrival.

All passengers arriving at the Sultanate without having a negative COVID-19 PCR test in accordance with paragraph number (4) of this circular are subject to a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival, after which the traveler must enter mandatory quarantine with electronic control. Follow-up bracelet until a negative PCR test result is received. However, in cases of a positive result of the PCR test, the passenger must undergo mandatory sanitary isolation for ten (10) days from the date of the test. Except that passengers who have recovered from COVID-19 but tested positive on arrival are exempt from sanitary isolation as long as they can present proof that they have completed the prescribed isolation period in the country where they were infected before traveling to the Sultanate.

Before boarding the aircraft, all passengers arriving at the Sultanate, including diplomats, must complete the pre-registration through the Platform (Tarassud +) and upload the vaccine certificate, as well as the PCR COVID-19 certificate, both with QR codes. If the passenger prefers to perform the COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival, the passenger must pay the prescribed fees when registering through the platform (Tarassud +) before boarding the aircraft

Passengers arriving 18 years of age or younger are exempt from the COVID-19 PCR test and vaccine requirements. Patients with diseases that prevent them from receiving the vaccine according to an approved medical certificate are also exempt from presenting vaccination certificates.
